With plenty of local opportunities for walking whether you want a relaxing stroll or a challenging climb it's the ideal spot. Just 1 mile from the property is the village of Hawkshead which offers a choice of pubs and shops as well as several National Trust properties including the Beatrix Potter Gallery and the historic Grammar School where William Wordsworth was once a pupil. This large country house is in a wonderful elevated position overlooking Esthwaite Water set in 40 acres of gardens and woodland. Entering this recently decorated for 2021 ground-floor apartment guests will find a private hallway leading to the light and spacious open-plan lounge/diner which enjoys far-reaching mountain views. There is an open fire surrounded by two sofas and an armchair which is perfect for a family night in watching your favourite films on the Smart TV. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob fridge freezer microwave and dishwasher. Laundry facilities are also available on-site. The property's three bedrooms are tastefully decorated with pine furniture. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and views over the lake plus en-suite shower room with WC. The second bedroom is a pretty double with a Smart TV which has views of the woodland to the rear of the property along with the single bedroom. The spacious bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC. Outside the property has shared access to the 40 acres of gardens and woodlands which includes a children's play area with swings climbing frame and outdoor table tennis. The shore of Esthwaite Water is accessible via a private grassy area perfect for a picnic or watching the sun set over the mountains. Ample off-road parking is provided including a charging point for an electric car.
