Set on the edge of Esthwaite Water with stunning views over the lake and Grizedale Forest beyond and only a few minutes away from the bustling village of Hawkshead this property is the perfect base to explore the Lake District There is an abundance of walks straight from your door in all directions you will be spoilt for choice. Hawkshead is steeped in history from National Trust properties to Beatrix potter. There are plenty of shops and eateries to choose from and cater to any palette. Close by is the historic Hill Top which is a day out in itself or for those more adventurous types why not head down to Grizedale Forest where thrill-seeking visitors can try the zip wires and high ropes at the Go-Ape Centre. Completely renovated and modernised in 2020 and approached via the sweeping driveway guests will catch their first glimpses of the magnificent country house in which the accommodation is located with majestic views. On entering the apartment guests will find the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its comfortable seating with two armchairs and a sofa Smart TV various board games and dining table and chairs. The kitchen area to the rear of the space is equipped with an electric oven and hob fridge freezer dishwasher and microwave. There are two bedrooms both super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be into twins on request). Finally there is the main bathroom with shower over bath and WC. The property features a number of special design touches such as a Lake District OS map wall in the hall area and Tala drop down lights above the dining table. Outside the estate enjoys 40-acres of shared gardens and woodland which guests have full access to. Wandering down to the lake there is private access to the shore and complimentary use of rowing boats (seasonal) this is also a perfect spot for enjoying a picnic. Younger guests will enjoy the play area with swings climbing frame pitch and putt golf outdoor table tennis and badminton. There is on-site parking provided and a shared laundry facility with washing machine and tumble dryer. Need to know: 2 Bedrooms super king size zip and link (can be made up as a twins on request, request must be made at time of booking less than 7 days notice may incur additional charges). 1 Bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher fridge and freezer. Laundry facilities onsite with washing machine and tumble dryer. Travel cot and highchair available on request.
