Make your great escape to the tranquil Cumbrian village of Mockerkin and settle for the duration at this two-bedroom ground-floor apartment. Enjoy the holiday accommodation as a base from which to explore this corner of the Lake District on foot by bicycle or even on horseback from Ennerdale Bridge 5.5 miles away. Drive 6 miles to Crummock Water to hike round the lake or hire rowing boats to go out on the water. Spend the afternoon in Cockermouth also 6 miles away where William Wordsworth was born. Visit his childhood home take a tour of the local brewery and choose between a fine selection of cafes pubs and restaurants when it comes to dining out. Step into this ground-floor apartment and find yourselves in a generous hall where you can slip off your shoes and hang your raincoats and jackets. Make your way into the lounge/dining room to take a little time out after your long journey. Settle on the comfortable seating to chat about your plans choose a book watch the TV with Freeview or enjoy a DVD together. On warm days open the doors on to the shared courtyard to let in a summer breeze. As mealtimes beckon head through into the kitchen to whip up delicious dishes. Discover all you need here including an electric oven and hob with extractor a microwave fridge and four-slice toaster. There is a useful washer/dryer too plus a freezer in a separate cupboard. When dinner is ready pull the chairs up to the table in the lounge/diner. From the hall make your way into the bedrooms which include a double with en-suite shower room with handbasin and WC and a twin. The family bathroom with its bath with shower above WC and handbasin is also here. Enjoy the shared courtyard whenever the weather is fine. A total of four holiday homes have access to this. Dine out here or take a cup of tea into the sunshine after a long day out exploring. There is a parking area at the property.
