Overview
Your fantastic position in the western Lake District means there is plenty to explore. Head 4 miles to the heart of Keswick and board a boat across Derwentwater hire a canoe and do the hard work yourself or take it easy and visit one of many delicious restaurants for a treat. There are also some great places to spend time on rainy days in Keswick including The Puzzling Place The Pencil Museum and the cinema all of which are within 4.5 miles of home. A 3.5-mile journey will take you into the heart of the Whinlatter Forest Park where you can hire and ride bikes along the many tracks and trails whilst keeping your eyes peeled for osprey. Access via the rear door where there is a handy large porch great for all your muddy boats and leads. Walk through to the bright kitchen/diner which has fiews to Skiddaw where you can find a double oven and ceramic hobs a slimline dishwasher microwave and a built-in fridge/freezer. Prepare a feast before plating up at the table and switching on the speaker to listen to music whilst you dine. From the hallway make your way into the lounge where you can sit back and relax. Stay warm by the open fire and enjoy evenings in front of the Smart TV. Large windows flood the space with light and offer spectacular views of the fells. Two bedrooms reside on the ground floor in addition to the family bathroom. The king-size bedroom has lovely views and the twin is a cosy and calming room. The family bathroom has an electric shower over the bath and WC. Find the remaining bedroom on the lower ground floor access either via a stair-gated hatch and steep ladder-style staircase or through French doors from outside. With more mountain views and an en-suite shower room with WC this king-size bedroom is great for those after some peace and quiet. The lower ground floor is also home to a snug area with TV and French doors and a utility room where there is a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Rise and shine and take your tea or coffee outside to the enclosed garden with fell views and furniture for taking a seat. Bask in the heat on sunny days or wrap up warm and enjoy the crisp air on chilly days. There is off-road parking for two cars on the gated driveway. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 2 king size, 1 twin. The lower ground floor king size bedroom is accessed either via a stair gated hatch and steep, ladder style staircase from within, alternative access is via French doors from outside. 2 bathrooms 1 bathroom with shower over bath and WC, 1 en suite shower room with WC. Double oven and ceramic hobs, slimline dishwasher, microwave, built in fridge/freezer. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Open fire. Smart TV in lounge, TV in snug. Towels not provided. Enclosed garden with furniture. There is off road parking for 2 cars on the gated driveway with space for a further car outside. Additional dogs may be accepted upon request.
