Sleeping ten guests in comfort you'll have the Wasdale Valley on your doorstep and be within touring distance of the Cumbrian coast. This windswept region is famed for the towering peaks of the Scafells the ethereal beauty of Wastwater and the myriad of trails leading through the unspoilt countryside that will tempt walkers and cyclists alike. Challenge your party to adrenaline-fuelled activities such as rock climbing ghyll scrambling and paddleboarding via the popular activity centre 6 miles away or take a quiet stroll along the River Irt with a picnic. Change pace with a visit to Ravenglass 5 miles away to explore the estuary and natural harbour or venture the 7-mile drive to Seascale to appreciate the sandy beaches and safe bathing spots. This property may appear rustic and traditional on the outside but beneath the classic exterior is a contemporary and spacious retreat characterised by stylish decor and comfortable furnishing. Original features add to the overall charm which you'll notice from the moment you enter via the kitchen and take a seat with a glass of wine in hand. The open-plan kitchen/diner is bright with a wood burner and sofas to one side ample dining space in the centre and a generous kitchen with a central island to finish. A second lounge provides a cosy space to relax with a second wood burner a Smart TV and DVD for leisurely evening entertainment and there are steps leading up to a useful utility room with a washing machine tumble dryer and an additional WC. Next the snug room will prove irresistible to younger guests thanks to the beanbags corner sofa and TV. At bedtime you'll have a choice of five bedrooms split between the upper levels of the property. You can reach the superb super-king-size with en-suite shower room and WC by following the stairs leading from the hallway next to the snug. This section of the cottage also features a double bedroom and a twin room alongside an excellent family bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bath walk-in shower and WC. Back downstairs the lounge has a set of stairs that lead up to the remaining bedrooms and a shower room with WC. Consisting of a double bedroom and an adjacent twin bedroom you'll be spoilt for choice of where to rest. Bi-fold doors lead from the kitchen out into the rear garden a beautiful and tranquil setting that backs on to a pretty stream. Ample lawn space pretty shrubbery and garden furniture create a backdrop for al fresco meals and there is ample off-road parking.
