Thanks to the house's location in Dubwath near Bassenthwaite Lake you can enjoy waterside wanders and leave the car at home. If it's a hot day jump in for a refreshing dip before you continue your stroll. Whilst enjoying the sights and the tranquillity keep your eyes peeled for osprey. Make the 6-mile trip to Mirehouse and Gardens where you can follow the Rhododendron Walk and visit the lakeside church of St Bega. If there are any keen golfers on your party Cockermouth Golf Club is less than 2 miles from your door and has lovely greens. This part of the lakes is quickly growing as a go to destination for foodies with many delicious independent restaurants in easy reach including the award wining Bassenthwaite Lake Station café. Step inside the entrance hall which leads to a handful of useful rooms: a drying room for coats and boots a laundry with washer/dryer and a WC. Head up to the first floor and reach the bright kitchen which has a quirky sloping ceiling dishwasher microwave fan oven and induction hob. Once you've cooked move to the dining table in the light airy dining room to enjoy the stunning panoramic views. The table shares its space with the lounge where there is a wood burner to keep the chills at bay and comfortable sofas and chairs arranged around a TV with DVD player. If you don t fancy a night in front of the screen enjoy the board games or delve into a book. The two bedrooms are also on this floor. One is a king-size the other a super-king that can be made up as a twin on request. The bedrooms share the family bathroom where you can soak in the bath or freshen up in the walk-in shower. If you need entertaining and there are competitive guests among you head to the games room in the garage complete with a table-tennis table for a fun-filled family-friendly night in. Sit on the benches in the enclosed garden with a drink in hand while you wait your turn. There is off-road parking for two cars in front of a garage.
