Take to the nearby footpaths and set out for a stroll around this 9-mile-long lake. Stop for a picnic on the lakeshore or jump on board one of Ullswater's famous steamers which connect to some spectacular walking routes around the lake including Aira Force Glenridding and Pooley Bridge. Head for higher ground as you take on the High Street ridge from Pooley Bridge or Howtown and marvel at the breath-taking views from the top. The house is conveniently situated on the lakeward side of the A592. For amenities the market town of Penrith boasts a choice of supermarkets and independent shops and eateries together with a ruined castle and 18th century church. Other nearby attractions include the city of Carlisle and the historic house of Dalemain. Inside this period property retains plenty of original features while also displaying calming neutral decor and contemporary appliances. Leave coats and boots in the welcoming entrance hall before continuing into the spacious lounge. With an ornate feature fireplace with electric fire plump sofas and armchairs Freeview TV and French doors opening onto the patio this is a relaxing and homely space. The kitchen is modern and stylish with chrome units a flagstone floor and chic pendant lighting. Here you will find an electric oven and hob fridge/freezer microwave dishwasher and washer/dryer.
