At Whinlatter Forest Park (4.5 miles) you can hire mountain bikes and go exploring or you can take a cruise from Keswick across Derwentwater with stops at Ashness Gate Lodore and Hawes End. Walkers can attempt Latrigg Catbells Skiddaw or Causey Pike (all within 6 miles). Entering the property via a private entrance hall stairs lead you up to the first floor where you will find the spacious and welcoming lounge/diner.
