Thornthwaite is a small village in the Lake District with views of Skiddaw and the cottages are close to the bustling market town of Keswick. This tranquil area is a perfect retreat for walking or cycling a paradise for dog walkers. There are walks for everyday of the week! This area is famous not only for its lakes forests and mountains but also for its associations with the early 19th century poetry and writings of William Wordsworth. The properties offer you the perfect base to discover and explore the whole of the Lake District and all its attractions. Within easy reach you will find Newlands Adventure Centre The Lakes Distillery and Go Ape Tree Top Adventures. On entering this beautiful mews cottage you are welcomed by a quaint open plan studio apartment space with a comfortable lounge and gas fire and 2 comfortable armchairs to sink into. There is also a TV and DVD player to watch if you ever have enough of the beautiful views from the double doors straight out into the garden and Skiddaw in the distance. The bedroom is in this shared area and consists of a double bed with a wardrobe and drawers for storage. The kitchen has room for 2 at the breakfast bar and is well-equipped with electric oven hob microwave and fridge / freezer. Going through to the light and fresh shower room and WC this is a lovely little cottage for 2. Outside there is a well looked after enclosed shared garden where you can enjoy the sun go down with an alfresco tipple.
