This countryside property is the perfect location to get back in touch with nature and relax away from the hustle and bustle. Located near the historic village of Broughton-in-Furness (4 miles) situated in the southwestern corner of the Lake District. There is much to please the visitor such as a pretty cobbled square complete with a splendid horse chestnut tree enclosed by shops pubs and homes many of them Georgian in origin. The village provides an ideal base for a walking or climbing holiday with ample opportunity to explore the rugged beauty of the Duddon. The Furness Railway runs from nearby Foxfield (6 miles) and makes for an ideal day out for the family traveling the west coast of Cumbria. This property is a home away from home for those who want to escape and enjoy family time in a relaxing peaceful location. Walking up the steps and inside you will be switched off and your holiday begins. The lounge/diner is the hub of the house and where you will spend all your time. You can enjoy the amazing views right from the lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the breath-taking landscapes. There are two leather sofas and armchairs surrounding the wood burner and Smart TV. To the rear of the room is a dining area with an oak table. Heading out in the hallway we have the kitchen which is compact and has everything you need for your getaway. Next is a utility area for those muddy boots and to hang your coats along with a WC. Head along the hallway where we have all four bedrooms two doubles and two super-king-size zip-and-links (which can be made into twins on request) one with an en-suite shower room with WC. Finally there is the main bathroom with a bath separate shower and WC. At the end of the hall is a conservatory with a sofa and more amazing views. Enjoy those amazing valley views whilst sitting at the BBQ area with seating and coverage perfect for any time of the year to enjoy. The kids and your four-legged friends can enjoy the grassed area. The garage houses a washing machine which is shared between two properties. Need to know: 4 bedrooms 2 super king sizes (zip and link beds that can be made up into 2 twin beds), 2 doubles. 2 bathrooms 1 bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC, 1 en suite shower room with WC, 1 WC. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Shared washing machine in garage. Wood burner (first basket of logs included). Smart TV in lounge. Newly updated Satellite broadband . Highchair available. Bike storage. Garden is not enclosed and on a working farm, dogs are to be kept on a lead when outside. Mobile reception is variable. There are 6 steps leading up to the front door, or 1 small step into the conservatory. Car charging is not permitted without consent from owner charges may apply. Satellite broadband installed July 2023 for a stronger signal.
