Overview
Originally a Cumbrian farm now a well-presented holiday village with lots of traditional character cobbled streets between natural stone buildings a duck pond and views towards the fells. A range of onsite facilities including a swimming pool jacuzzi sauna steam room gym and games room. Visit Ullswater (9 miles) take a steamboat trip or walk to the waterfalls at Aira Force. The charming town of Keswick (11 miles) has a nice selection of pubs restaurants and independent shops to explore. The annual Mountain Festival is held over three days here with world-class sports and talks films and live music events taking place beside the lake. At Whinlatter Forest (15 miles) kids will love the Gruffalo trail or if you enjoy mountain biking there are some great tracks to explore. Rookin House Activity Centre is 4 miles away offering a huge selection of activities including Go Karting Horse riding and paint balling. As you enter the property into the lobby you will find space to hang up your coats and there is a handy WC. The bright open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a lovely social space in which to relax together. The kitchen has a gas hob and oven microwave dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Off the kitchen there is a large dining table for all the family to gather around enjoy breakfast or a nice evening meal while discussing plans for the next day. There are comfortable sofas to seat all guests in the lounge area with TV board games and access out onto the private terrace. The staircase leads off the lounge up to the first floor. There is a double master bedroom with an en-suite shower room and WC. The bedroom has direct access out onto a private balcony it offers seating to relax with a coffee or a good book. Next door there is a cosy bunk bedroom and across the hallway there is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC and the third room is a lovely twin bedroom. There are lots of onsite facilities to enjoy: the café bar restaurant and clubhouse an indoor heated pool sauna steam room gym crazy golf pitch and putt giant chess and adventure playground. The property has a private balcony and a small terrace to sit out and watch the world go by. There is a large car park at the rear of the property with ample parking.
