Go for a leisurely stroll in Fitz Park just across the river which has tennis courts bowling greens putting and a swimming pool great if entertaining little ones. For a wild swim or a boat trip walk 1 mile to Derwentwater where you can book a cruise or head out on your own lake trip. If exploring on two wheels is more your thing hire bikes in Keswick and ride the Keswick to Threlkeld Trail visit Whinlatter Forest (5 miles) or hop on the Skiddaw Loop which begins in the market square. For food and drink The Back Bar is just over the road and the Keswick Brewing Company is a hundred metres away - so stumbling home after sampling the ales won t be a problem! If rain interrupts your day take a trip to the movies or watch a show at the Theatre by the Lake located 0.7 miles from the apartment. Access to the apartment is up a set of external concrete steps which are wide and have a handrail so it's easy to carry luggage up the stairs. Upon entering you can hang coats on the rail and leave shoes on the rack before heading further inside the apartment to get cosy. With comfortable sofas and a coal-effect electric fire the lounge is a great place to curl up and indulge in a good book from the shelf or switch on the TV and watch your favourite programme. When it's time for dinner make your way into the kitchen through the sliding door. Though compact you'll find all you need to rustle up a meal before heading back through to the drop-leaf dining table which sits in the lounge. Three chairs can be found here whilst the remaining chair is in the double bedroom. After a tasty dinner and a tipple or two rest your head in one of two tranquil bedrooms. Both the double and the twin are lovely spaces in which to drift off and the twin boasts views of the River Greta and up to Lattrig. Rise and shine and freshen up in the family bathroom with WC where you can soak in the tub or rinse off in the shower over the bath.
