This cottage enjoys a quiet rural location on a country lane just a few miles from Hawkshead and Windermere. Windermere is the region's longest lake and offers a range of boat trips many of which depart from Ambleside which is located five miles away from the property. One of the most popular towns in the Lakes Ambleside has a range of eateries as well as shops. The area is of course extremely popular with walkers and offers many scenic routes at a range of accessibility levels from easy strolls to thrilling mountain climbs. Also within easy access of the property visitors will find Coniston Water Wray Castle The Beatrix Potter Gallery and the Go-Ape high ropes centre in Grizedale Forest. There really is something for everyone. Guests enter the cottage and come straight to the cosy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where the beamed ceiling slate floor and wood burner all contribute to the authentic atmosphere of the property. Guests do not have to forego their creature comforts though as is there a TV and DVD which can be enjoyed from the comfortable corner sofa. There is breakfast bar with seating overlooking the kitchen area. The kitchen is well-equipped with an oven hob microwave fridge and dishwasher whilst the washing machine tumble dryer and freezer can all be found in the external utility room which is also a great place to store muddy boots and bikes. Upstairs accessed via a steep narrow staircase the bedroom is a stylish king-size room which has a pretty Chinese-style screen separating it from the bathroom with its shower bath and WC. Outside the property benefits from an enclosed lawned garden which has table and chairs ideal for an evening drink in this tranquil location. Need to know: 1 king size bedroom. Bathroom with bath,shower, and WC. TV and DVD. Oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. Wood burning stove with fuel supplied. Shops, pubs, and restaurant 1.5 miles. Off road parking. Electric vehicle charging point at the property for additional 30 per week, charging only permitted via the charging point please contact for further details. In the Event of an Emergency, there is no appointed Fire Mashal. It is the responsibility of guests to safely evacuate themselves from the property.
