Just a couple of miles from the northern end of Windermere Troutbeck is a charming village with a couple of great pubs. The cottage is a fantastic base for wonderful rural walks with footpaths and bridleways from the doorstep. Nearby attractions for walkers include Wansfell Pike (1.5 miles) Red Screes (4.5 miles) and Stock Ghyll Force (2.5 miles). Heading south the town of Windermere (3 miles) lies on the shores of the lake and has some welcoming places to eat and drink. To the north you can visit Wordsworth's home in Ambleside (3.5 miles) or you could take a cruise across the lake to Wray Castle. The cottage is also ideal for visiting Coniston Water and Ullswater (both 10 miles). Entering this pretty cottage you will find yourself in the cosy and inviting first lounge. Retaining original features including exposed ceiling beams oak floor a window seat and an open fire this is a lovely space to relax in.
