Overview
One of the lesser known lakes in the region Esthwaite Water is no less beautiful and was in fact Beatrix Potter's favourite lake in the region. Visitors can enjoy scenic walks around the edge of the lake try their luck at fishing or even take a specialist osprey safari boat trip. Just one mile from the property is the village of Hawkshead which has a choice of interesting shops and pubs and a number of interesting National Trust properties including the Beatrix Potter Gallery. Approaching the property up the sweeping drive guests will immediately feel that this is a really special place to enjoy a break in the Lakes. The main living area of the property is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which has stunning double aspect views of the apartment's beautiful surroundings including the lake itself the property's woodland estate and the mountains beyond. Here guests will find a dining table seating four comfortable seating a TV (with Chromecast) DVD hi-fi and ipod dock with Bluetooth speaker. To the rear of the room is the kitchen area which was refitted in 2016 and is well-equipped with an oven hob microwave fridge freezer and dishwasher. Both of the property's tastefully decorated bedrooms have woodland views. The master bedroom is a spacious super king-size room which offers a contemporary en suite shower room whilst the other is a zip-and-link twin room which can be made up as king-size upon request. The bathroom has an elegant roll top bath / shower over the bath and WC. Outside the estate enjoys 40-acres of shared gardens and woodland which guests have full access to. Wandering down to the lake there is private access to the shore - a perfect spot for enjoying a picnic. Younger guests will enjoy the play area with swings a climbing frame and outdoor table tennis tables.
