Situated in Rosthwaite village this apartment is just 3 miles from Derwentwater and 6 miles south of Keswick in the beautiful Borrowdale Valley. With walking paths and waterfalls accessible from your front door this location is the perfect escape from reality. The village is surrounded by fells and open countryside located between the River Derwent and Stonethwaite Beck. It is at the southern end of the Borrowdale Valley just before the road begins its climb up the steep Honister Pass at Seatoller. There are lots of activities on offer locally including fishing rock climbing and water sports on Derwentwater. This peaceful valley is fabulous to explore on foot by cycle bus or car. This charming first-floor apartment is one of five apartments in a large Victorian house situated in the centre of Rosthwaite village. As you enter the shared entrance into the hallway of this impressive welcoming house you will find your private entrance on the first floor. The front entrance opens into a hallway with the open-plan lounge kitchen and dining area to the right. It offers the perfect space to prepare a romantic meal for two while chatting and making plans for the rest of your stay. The lounge has sofas a Smart TV and an electric wall-mounted fire there is also a dining table for two. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob a small fridge with a freezer compartment and a microwave. There is a double bedroom and along the hall is the bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Heading outside from the cottage there is a shared garden with seating overlooking the Borrowdale Valley and fells. There is private parking for one car in the small car park within walking distance from the property you can park at the front of the cottage to unload and load your car. Need to know: 1 bedroom 1 double. 1 bathroom shower over bath and WC. Electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Smart TV in the lounge. Private parking for one car in the small car park within walking distance from the property. External slate built outbuilding, with combination lock, available for bike or sports equipment storage. . Shared garden with seating and fell views. Farm café/shop (seasonal opening) are within walking distance.. 3 country pubs within 1 mile of the property. There are alternative routes to Rosthwaite available from Braithwaite or from Grange. From these two start points, route to Buttermere via the Newlands pass. Once in Buttermere, take the B5289 to Rosthwaite via the Honister pass..
