This fascinating city is known for its beautiful cathedral and castle as well as Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery. There are two golf courses on the outskirts of the town so any keen golfers should bring their clubs. This is a great base to explore Cumbria the Lake District the Cumbria coastline and the Scottish Borders. Jump on a direct train to either Edinburgh or Glasgow and enjoy a day exploring these beautiful cities. The famous Scottish town of Gretna Green is just 12 miles away. This stylish Victorian townhouse has been lovingly refurbished to provide a range of contemporary apartments. This suite is accessed via three steps to the front door you will enter the shared hallway and find the apartment located on the ground floor. Entering the apartment into the private hallway you will find the cosy lounge with a wood burner-effect electric fire on the wood feature wall under the TV. Relax on the corner sofa while making plans for the days ahead. There is a dining area in the lounge and the room has been designed with wraparound access into the galley-style kitchen. The contemporary fully equipped high-gloss kitchen has everything you need to rustle up a romantic meal or a hearty breakfast before heading out to explore. From the kitchen you will find a king-size bedroom with a feature-wood panelled wall and a built-in wardrobe. The bathroom is next door and is designed with a stunning marble floor and walls and includes locally produced toiletries.
