This recently refurbished (2023) three-storey townhouse is perfectly located in the centre of the bustling market town of Cockermouth on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Take a trip to the childhood home of famous poet William Wordsworth and explore the beautiful gardens which offer a peaceful retreat from the busy town centre. Cockermouth has an abundance of local shops art galleries cafes pubs and restaurants. Pack your hiking boots and explore the lakes of Bassenthwaite Buttermere Crummock and Loweswater all within an 11-mile radius. Animal lovers will enjoy a trip to Lake District Wildlife Park (7 miles) whilst thrill seekers will love Whinlatter Forest (7 miles) where you can Go Ape or hire bikes to explore the forest trails. The popular market town of Keswick is only 14 miles where you can hire a boat or take a cruise on Derwentwater to enjoy the stunning scenery of the fells.
