There are picturesque walks from the door - including the recently completed West Windermere Way which conveniently finishes at a luxury hotel with restaurant & spa (1 mile). A short walk will bring you to Lakeside (0.25 miles) where you will find Windermere Lake Cruises - take a spectacular sail up to Bowness or Ambleside with their many attractions or across the Lake to Fellfoot for playgrounds and picnics. Lakeside is also the home of The Aquarium of the Lakes with its captivating marine life and otters. You can also hop on board the Furness Steam Railway or take Afternoon Tea in the elegant gardens of The Lakeside Hotel with stunning views across the Lake. History lovers will enjoy the numerous local heritage properties in the area including Beatrix Potter's home at Far Sawrey or Wordsworth's School in Hawkshead where you can see his graffiti both within 8 miles. Take the steps up to the entrance of this first floor duplex property and once inside you will find an elegant sitting/dining room enjoying views over the large garden and fields beyond to Lake Windermere. A woodburning stove along with ample comfortable seating and TV make for cosy evenings in. The kitchen is amply equipped and includes a dishwasher as well as a Nespresso coffee machine. Heading up to the second floor the bedrooms are made up for a perfect night's sleep with a cosy twin and comfortable double. The master bedroom is a spacious room with stunning views over Lake Windermere - perfect for breakfast in bed with a view and with its own en-suite shower room. There is also a separate WC on this floor. To the rear of the property is a spacious shared garden with several patios - a large lawn ideal for lawn games and a child's play area. There is ample garden furniture garden games and a fire pit perfect for roasting marshmallows. Please note there is an unfenced naturally occurring rock pool in the garden.
