Overview
Gilson is a superb end-terrace cottage set on the site of the Freshwater Biological Association, one mile from the village of Far Sawrey, close to Bowness-on-Windermere. This cottage sleeps two people and has a king-size double, a shower room and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with balcony. Outside there's roadside parking for one car. Gilson is a wonderful, luxury retreat with plenty to do within this part of the Lake District National Park and in the wider area.

One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.5 miles via ferry and Hawkshead – 4 miles, pub 1 mile . Note: Children must be supervised at all times due to balcony. Note: This property has an interconnecting door to Ref 1024709, the door will remain locked during your stay unless booking both properties and requested otherwise at least 14 days prior to your arrival. 4pm check in.

Pick-up and drop-off ferry point situated approx 100 yards away. During seasonal peaks the ferry service may be in high demand due to its popularity. Please note that Sykes are not responsible for the council ferry changes to service, times, and closures. The Windermere car ferry service can be affected by extreme weather conditions.
