This gorgeous property overlooks the pretty main square in the village of Hawkshead within easy walking distance of all amenities and attractions. The village is proud of its heritage and links to Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth and visitors are able to visit the National Trust managed Beatrix Potter Gallery and historic Grammar School. Grizedale Forest is just a few miles south of the village and offers stunning walks a sculpture trail fun Segway hire and a Go-Ape climbing centre which even has a thrilling zip wire for those feeling brave. Of course a trip to Lake Windermere is a must and it is just five miles from the property. This really is a wonderful base from which to enjoy this beautiful region. Guests access this property via asset of external steps which lead to the stable-door opening onto the property's hallway. Through the hallway guests will come to the welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with some lovely original features including the exposed stone wall and fireplace which now occupies the cosy wood burner sitting on a stone hearth. The room is wonderfully relaxing with leather sofa Smart TV and window-side dining table for two. The contemporary kitchen area offers everything that guests will need to prepare their favourite meals including an electric oven hob fridge microwave dishwasher and washer/dryer. A glass-sided staircase leads up to the romantic bedroom which has the feeling of a high-quality hotel room only with more privacy. The bed is a kingsize double but can be made up as two twins on request. Just across from the bedroom the sleek bathroom offers a shower over the bath and WC. There is underfloor heating throughout the property. Need to know: 1 double bedroom with king size bed (can be made up as a twin upon request). Bathroom with shower over the bath and WC.
