Soak up the breathtaking scenery from this secluded cottage on the northern edge of the Lake District National Park. The cottage has a beautiful shared garden with picnic benches and ample room for children to play and is perfectly placed for climbing the popular fells of Blencathra (4 miles) or Carrock Fell (1 mile). As well as a plethora of walks from the property it's also easy to hop in the car and journey to the pretty town of Keswick (11 miles) with its independent shops and eateries or head to the ever-spectacular Ullswater (12 miles). Here you can board one of the iconic steamers or enjoy peaceful waterside walks along the Ullswater Way or high into the surrounding fells. The characterful barn conversion is warm and welcoming with beautiful original features including exposed stonework and beams. The inviting lounge is a lovely relaxing spot to curl up after a long day of sightseeing. Sink into the plump sofa or armchairs around the electric fire which is set in a fabulous ornamental fireplace to read a book or watch the SkyTV/DVD. The kitchen has everything you need to cater for the group such as an electric oven and hob fridge freezer and microwave. There's also a handy dishwasher. The fold-out table is great for grabbing a quick bite to eat before heading out for the day or spreading out your guidebooks to plan your next adventure.
