Within 15 miles find a number of Western Lakes such as Loweswater Crummock and Buttermere all offering gentle walks through wonderful scenery. Whinlatter Forest 14 miles away is perfect for letting off some steam in a treetop adventure or one of the many mountain bike trails. The Solway Coast has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is blessed with a fantastic array of visiting birdlife. Find miles of pebbled and sandy beaches stretching 40 miles from Seascale in the south (18 miles) to Silloth (20 miles) in the north with Moss Bay Beach 5.5 miles away where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. Workington 4 miles away is a bustling place to visit with a shopping centre two theatres a cinema trampoline park and museums while Cockermouth is 5 miles away and has a variety of independent and antique shops cafés and restaurants. Located in the quiet village of Little Clifton this semi-detached cottage provides a warm welcome at the end of a busy day exploring the west Cumbrian coast and countryside. The living room is bright during the day yet takes on a cosy demeanour once the wood burner is lit; the perfect place for a snoozing dog or two. The leather sofa and armchair are ideal for relaxing in the evening glass of wine in hand and film on the TV. The compact kitchen is equipped with a halogen hob electric oven large fridge/freezer a washer/dryer dishwasher and microwave. A door from the dining area opens onto the patio allowing the fresh air to drift in on warm evenings. Upstairs the bedrooms are light and elegant. The master double bedroom has a fitted wardrobe and the single bedroom has hanging space and drawers for storage. Completing the accommodation the bathroom has a shower over the bath. The rear enclosed garden is accessed from the dining area. Furnished with a table and chairs the patio is perfect for indulging in a spot of al fresco dining with a BBQ available at the cottage for summer months. Several steps lead to a lawned area which enjoys the sun for most of the day. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double and 1 single. 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and WC.
