Take your friends and family to this sizeable four-bedroom holiday home which sleeps eight near the village of Thornthwaite for your Lake District stay. Stroll less than 200m down to Bassenthwaite Lake to walk by the water watch for wildlife and even take a dip. Wander further into nearby Whinlatter Forest Park or drive 4 miles to reach it by car. Go mountain biking attempt the high ropes and take part in other activities here. Venture 4 miles into Keswick to amble round its shops and dine out. Book a cruise out on Derwentwater from here or head to Portinscale 3 miles from the cottage to hire your own boat or to have a go at paddle-boarding or canoeing. Gaze out at the spectacular views from this welcoming holiday home. Step inside to find ample accommodation that makes the most of its stunning position. Take in the sweeping vistas from the sunroom with its picture windows and double-sided wood burner or make your way into the lounge/diner where you can also bask in the heat of the stove and settle down in front of the TV with Freeview. The kitchen/diner is two steps up from the lounge and has everything you will need for your holiday feasts including two electric ovens an electric grill and five gas hobs a large fridge/freezer a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. Younger members of your group might enjoy spending their time in the games room which has table football and plenty of other activities to enjoy. There is a shower room with handbasin and WC at ground-floor level. Make your way upstairs to discover the bedrooms. One of these has a super-king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with bath with shower above handbasin and WC. There is also a double bedroom; a twin room that can be arranged as a super-king on request; a super-king that can become a twin if discussed in advance. A family shower room with handbasin and WC can also be found on this floor. Spill out into the leafy garden whenever the weather is fine. Dine outside overlooking the magnificent views towards Bassenthwaite Lake. There is a handy shed for bicycles and other outdoor equipment. Parking for three vehicles is available at the property. Need to know: 4 bedrooms 1 super king size, 1 small double (4' 6"), 1 zip and link twin (which can be made into a super king size on request) and 1 super king size (which can be made into a twin on request). 3 bathrooms 2 shower rooms, 1 en suite bathroom. Two electric ovens, an electric grill and five gas hobs, a large fridge freezer, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. Wood burner ( First basket of logs included). Smart TV. Garden. Parking for 3 cars.
