Overview
The quaint village of Eskdale is a great base from which to explore the western reaches of the Lake District National Park. Home to no less than five pubs one of which is just 0.5 miles away and a handy village store Eskdale is also an excellent starting point for many walks. Enjoy a leisurely stroll into the Japanese Garden in the forest or embark on a more challenging walk as you take on Harter Fell or even Scafell Pike. Or for cyclists mountain biking and forest trails can be found in the Wasdale and Duddon Valleys 7 and 11 miles away; meanwhile roadies will be in their element as they tackle some of England's steepest roads. Head for the coast with a trip to Drigg beach 7 miles away or take in some local history at Muncaster Castle just 4.5 miles away and a great day out for all ages. Inside this period property has been tastefully modernised to offer fresh neutral decor contemporary appliances and a homely feel throughout. Rustle up meals in the chic and modern kitchen where beautiful views can be enjoyed from the kitchen sink. Stepping outside a pretty patio area provides a peaceful spot for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning sunshine while to the rear a beautifully mature enclosed garden offers spectacular views up the valley. There is parking for two cars opposite the cottage with further parking available down the road.
