Perfectly situated in the village of Shap a short drive away from the Lake District National Park. Shap is situated with easy access for a day trips further afield to the Yorkshire Dales or Edinburgh. Those looking for an adventure will find a range of outdoor pursuits on offer from water sports on Lake Windermere to hiking in the mountains climbing or even canyoning and ghyll scrambling. For visitors who want to enjoy the area's unique landscape from a more leisurely perspective there are many miles of scenic lakeside walks to be enjoyed as well as cruises on the lake perhaps stopping for lunch at Ambleside or Bowness. Great place to base yourself and family to complete the West section of the Coast 2 Coast. There are many properties in the area Hill Top former home to Beatrix Potter and Dove Cottage where William Wordsworth once lived. The large front door of this cottage leads into the spacious hallway with plenty of room for boots coats and dog leads. This leads into a grand and impressive large open hallway with a staircase that definitely has the wow factor. Settled alongside the staircase is a desk and soft seating area. The lounge has retained many original features with large picture window panelling and ceiling rose combined with sumptuous furnishings and wood burner effect gas fire make it a great room to relax in after a day's exploring and watch a film on the TV/DVD or listen to music on the iPod dock. The farmhouse kitchen/diner with large oak dining table seating six offers everything guests will need to prepare their favourite meals including an electric oven and hob Rayburn dishwasher fridge microwave and Dulce Gusto coffee machine. The kitchen leads into a pantry with additional storage space and freezer. There is also a tumble dryer. Upstairs on the first floor the large landing has a seating area with local maps and wide selection of reading material. The spacious master bedroom has a king-size bed and Chaise Longue. The bathroom has a shower over bath and WC and the second bedroom has double bed and plenty of storage space. Head up the steep narrow steps onto the second floor and into the loft conversion you will find another king-size bedroom with an armchair and an en-suite shower room with shower and WC. Outside the property is a private split level enclosed garden with patio and garden furniture perfect for al fresco dining. There is an external outbuilding with a washing machine and parking for two medium size cars. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 2 king size and 1 double. 1 bathroom and 1 en suite shower room. Electric oven and hob, Rayburn, microwave, Dulce Gusto coffee machine, fridge, dishwasher and tumble dryer. Pantry with freezer. Electric and central heating included.
