Book a stay at this comfortable stone cottage in Ambleside and enjoy your proximity to the town as well as many of the Lake District's beauty spots. Sleeping four guests in two bedrooms the property is less than 200 metres from shops cafes and restaurants. Walk 1 mile to the edge of the magnificent lake or catch a horse-drawn carriage from the town; experience the beauty of the surroundings from a lake launch or hire a self-drive motorboat and explore for yourselves. Find plenty of places along the shores of Lake Windermere to try your hand at windsurfing paddleboarding or canoeing. Plan a 4-mile walk to Grasmere then stop for a cup of tea and a slice of gingerbread before heading home. Enter this property via its porch where you can hang your jackets and leave your shoes before finding yourselves in the lounge. Unwind in here together as you watch the Smart TV which has Freesat or choose a film to enjoy on the Blu-ray DVD player in the warmth of the coal-effect gas fire. Stream your music via the Roberts radio as you chat about your holiday activities. Make your way into the kitchen/diner to prepare something tasty to eat. There is a double electric fan oven and gas hob microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher and washer/dryer. Lay the table and sit down to jolly meals together. Follow the open-tread staircase up to your bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. Discover one of the bedrooms has a double bed while the other up one step is a twin with an impressive outlook. Another step up leads to the family shower room which has a WC. Step out through the French doors on warm days to soak up the sunshine in the fresh air. Dine on the private patio or watch the children playing in the shared garden. There is extra storage and equipment in the outhouse off the patio and provisions for two bikes in a larger stone building at the top of the garden. Parking for one small to medium car with possible extra space for another car in the garage. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double and 1 twin. 1 shower room with WC. Oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Smart TV with Freesat, Blu ray DVD player and Roberts radio with streaming option. Private patio with outhouse and shared garden. Parking for 1 small to medium car, plus a possible extra space in the garage (20 metres away). Storage for 2 bikes. Shops, cafes and restaurants within 200 metres. Please be aware that the open tread staircase and single steps up and down at first floor level may make this property unsuitable for small children.
