From the doorstep you can walk straight into the village; why not visit Dove Cottage the former home of William Wordsworth before sampling the delights of the world-famous Grasmere Gingerbread? Rain or shine you can enjoy a stroll around the picturesque lake or head to nearby White Moss Woods 1.5 miles away to explore the stunning Rydal Caves. Follow the historic Coffin Trail or head high to take on Helm Crag 1.5 miles away also known as the Lion and the Lamb which offers stunning views over the valley. A short drive away (4.5 miles) is Ambleside home to an array of pretty gift shops cosy bars popular restaurants and interesting galleries alongside a cinema for those rainy afternoons. This delightful home from home has natural tones and cosy soft furnishings with the living room being the heart of the house perfect for enjoying your evening by the wood burner.
