Overview
Located in the countryside on a working farm just eight miles from the Border City of Carlisle. Offering the ideal base to explore the Cumbrian coast Scotland (under 20 miles) and the Lake District National Park (6 miles). There are lots of bike routes and walks available from your front door and plenty to do in the local area. Visit Carlisle Castle (7 miles) Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery (7 miles) or the Solway Aviation Museum (17 miles). Carlisle station (8 miles) offers a regular train service to both Edinburgh and Glasgow or travel less than 20 miles and you will find yourself in the famous Scottish town of Gretna Green where you can visit the wedding anvil or enjoy a day shopping at the outlet village. Further afield you can visit Keswick (24 miles). As you enter the property you will find yourself in the useful lobby where there is coat and shoe storage and a bathroom with a shower and WC. Off the lobby there is a spacious twin bedroom with a feature fireplace and Smart TV. Walking back through the lobby you will find yourself in the well-equipped kitchen with an electric hob and oven; there is a slimline dishwasher microwave fridge with freezer compartment washing machine and tumble dryer. From the kitchen walk through into the lounge/sunroom which features a cosy wood burner views over the garden and a dining area for everyone to sit down together over dinner. You can access the garden from the lounge. Take the stairs up to the first floor; here you will find two more bedrooms and a family bathroom. There is a quirky single bedroom that has a raised cabin bed and a spacious king-size bedroom with original beams and a lovely low-lying window. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC. Outside there is an enclosed lawned garden with seating. Listen to the birds and watch for local wildlife as well as take in farming life. There is parking for one car at the front of the property in the courtyard. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 1 king size, 1 twin, 1 single. 2 bathrooms 1 shower and WC, 1 shower over the bath and WC. Electric hob and oven, fridge with freezer compartment, slimline dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, and microwave. Travel cot and highchair available. Welcome pack provided. Wood burner (first basket of logs provided). Smart TV in the lounge and twin bedroom. WIFI included due to the rural location it can be limited and not suitable for gaming. Private enclosed lawned garden with seating. Shops, bars and restaurants 4 miles away. Private parking for one car only in front of the property .
