There are many miles of walks to be enjoyed in the area catering to all fitness levels including scenic lakeside strolls and challenging hikes and climbs. The most famous of the lakes Windermere is accessed via the ferry situated just a short drive from the property and is a great place to enjoy browsing the shops and perhaps stocking up on picnic supplies before spending a day on the water. Around the lake there are several places to hire boats and other watercrafts or to hop on board one of the leisure cruises which run up and down the water at a relaxing pace allowing visitors to fully appreciate the beautiful surroundings. There is abundance of birdlife plenty of activities and cycle rides straight from the door. Guests will immediately get a sense of just how special this property is as soon as they climb the steps and enter the grand hallway with its imposing staircase. To the right is the apartment on the ground floor. The main space in this studio-style apartment itself is made up of the stunning lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area with large bay window. The lounge area makes the most of the views from the bay window with comfortable sofa and chair where you can relax after day of exploring and watch the TV/DVD. The kitchen is equipped with electric oven and hob microwave and fridge with ice compartment everything you require for holiday dining and to help with the cleaning after a dishwasher. The stylish bedroom area with feature canopy effect and open fire provides a cosy place to snuggle up in the double bed in front of the fire. Finishing the accommodation is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Outside there are extensive shared gardens with plenty of space to relax and again stunning views and a footpath leads directly from the grounds up to Claife Heights. There is also off-road parking for one car. Guests also have access to a shared utility area with two washing machines and two tumble dryers in the main property.
