Overview
Located in the pretty village of Rosthwaite in the stunning Borrowdale Valley the village is the starting point of many walks including over the fell to the hamlet of Watendlath. This is a great base to explore the Lakes either on foot bike by car or by bus. There is a lovely circular walk from Rosthwaite taking in Millican's Dalton's Caves. When walking to castle Crag the stepping stones are always fun to cross at drier times of the year. The Coast to Coast and Cumbria Way walks both pass through the village. The local area offers fishing rock climbing and water sports and there is a spa just three miles away. As you enter this ground-floor apartment you will find yourself in the cosy lounge with a wood burner comfy sofa Smart TV and window seat if you want to read a good book and watch the world go by. Off the lounge you will find the bright spacious kitchen/diner with an electric oven and hob microwave and fridge/freezer. There is a double bedroom which is accessed from the kitchen with an en-suite shower and WC. Head back through the lounge and down a small hallway which has a traditional tiled floor and space to hang your coats and store you're your walking boots. The second bedroom follows on through from the hall it is a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made into a twin on request) with an en-suite shower and WC. There is an enclosed shared courtyard which has cycle storage racks to store your bikes. There is allocated parking for one car in the shared car park and additional car parking in the village car park which is approximately 200 meters away (subject to availability local charge and opening times). Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 super king size zip and link (which can be made into a twin on request) and 1 double. 2 en suite shower rooms with shower and WC. Electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer and sishwasher. Heated electric clothes dryer. Wood burner in the lounge. Smart TV in the lounge. Allocated parking for 1 car only in the shared car park. Farm café/shop (seasonal opening) are within walking distance.. 3 country pubs within 1 mile of the property. There are alternative routes to Rosthwaite available from Braithwaite or from Grange. From these two start points, route to Buttermere via the Newlands pass. Once in Buttermere, take the B5289 to Rosthwaite via the Honister pass..
