The cottage is set in the friendly village of Newby just 7 miles south of the market town of Penrith and 5 miles west of the historic town of Appleby in the peaceful Eden Valley. There are lots of opportunities to go cycling along quiet country roads including the Lakes and Dales Loop for experienced cyclists. The route takes in the Lake District Yorkshire Dales Eden Valley Morecambe Bay and West Cumbria. The Lake District National Park is just a short drive away where you can walk the fells and discover the quieter northern lakes take a trip on one of the Ullswater Steamers go on a walking experience with an alpaca or enjoy a tour of a boutique gin distillery. After walking into the hallway you will find the bright open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner.
