Find beaches dotted up and down the Cumbrian coast such as Drigg Seascale and Braystones Beach all within 11 miles perfect for long walks picnics and a dip in the sea. Head 18 miles south to find Broughton-in-Furness where there is a bakery butchers small grocery store and a choice of cafes and pubs whilst 17 miles north Whitehaven has shops supermarkets places to eat and a lovely marina.
