A pair of picturesque lakes can be found in Grasmere and offer lovely spots to enjoy a waterside wander or some peace and quiet. 5 miles from home find the busier lake of Windermere which you can explore from Ambleside. Book a cruise or hire your own boats to take to the water and make a splash. Treat yourself to a delicious meal in Bowness-on-Windermere (10.5 miles) where you can also play a round of golf on the green at Windermere Golf Club. If there are any Wordsworth fans among you visit Dove Cottage a mile from home where the writer lived from 1799. After walks leave coats shoes and leads in the entrance hall before heading upstairs to the living space. With splashes of colour and country style the kitchen/diner is equipped with all you need to cook up feasts from breakfast to dinner. Find two electric ovens a grill gas and ceramic hobs a handy microwave fridge/freezer useful washer/dryer and dishwasher. Rustle up something tasty before plating up and dining together at the table. Stay warm after dinner and make your way through to the lounge with its large corner sofa and roaring wood burner. Perfect for film nights or lazy mornings the lounge has a Smart HD TV with full Sky Q package. The first of three inviting bedrooms can be found on the first floor. Get cosy under the covers in the twin bedroom which can be made up as a super-king-size on request at time of booking. This room has a TV so you can enjoy watching your favourite show in peace. The family shower room with WC completes this floor. Climb stairs to the second floor where the final two bedrooms await tired heads. Both rooms are king-size with TVs and boast luxury bathrooms with WCs where you can soak in the free-standing tubs and large walk-in showers. Both bathrooms have sloping ceilings please take care. After long days take a tipple outside to the enclosed patio and bask in the fresh air to unwind. There are benches and a small table which you can pile high with treats. There is private parking for two cars and on-road parking nearby. For guest use only and free of charge there is an Easee One Type 2 untethered 7KW electric vehicle charger. You will need to provide your own charging lead compatible with a type 2 charging socket.
